Updates to CCPI’s Words and Phrases to Avoid pdf:

For all manufacturers, merchants and distributors to use when creating and signing off product information, and for marketing teams, the Words and Phrases to Avoid document, as the name suggests, lists words and terminology that should either be avoided entirely or should be contextualised and justified.

This document has been updated recently, so if you haven’t looked in the last few months, please take a look. As this is a live document, please do not download it, build it into your processes using the URL which can be found here https://www.cpicode.org.uk/downloads/Words-and-Phrases-To-Avoid-Using.pdf

Calling all Trade bodies!

Opportunity for Trade bodies to proactively support CCPI!

We have received requests from a number of trade bodies who are keen to show their support for the Code for Construction Product Information and its supporting assessment process.  To respond we have developed a ‘CCPI Trade Associate’ category of support for trade bodies to pledge their commitment and support to CCPI and its work.

Signed up Associates can make the claim: We are a ‘CCPI Trade Associate’ proactively supporting the CCPI on its important mission to drive a transformational step-change in product information management and marketing across the built environment.

CCPI Trade Associate:

Become a ‘CCPI Trade Associate’ this means your organisation supports and commits to promoting the CCPI and its registration and assessment process with its aim to raise standards in construction product information and marketing and drive positive culture change in the manufacturing and supply sector in relation to product information and marketing.

By signing up to be a CCPI Trade Associate your organisation commits to:

  • Promoting CCPI to your membership – through newsletters, webinars etc
  • Facilitating CCPI presentations to your membership
  • Supporting the CCPI with relevant information regarding their sector to support the CCPI assessment process.
  • Proactively engaging membership to encourage them to register with CCPI and have product information assessed by liaising with CPI Ltd to share and understand numbers of members who are CCPI registered with product information CCPI assessed.
  • Consideration of including CCPI registration and assessment as a requirement where the trade body has a membership accreditation process.

What the ‘CCPI Trade Associate’ gets:

  • CCPI will display your trade body name on the CCPI website and in presentations in recognition of your commitment and being part of the rapidly growing community of organisations that want to be part of driving much needed positive change for the industry and building back trust in construction product information and marketing.
  • CCPI will also provide the trade body with regular updates when their members achieve CCPI assessment on their product information.
  • Special recognition will also be made in CCPI communications of ‘CCPI Trade Associates’ that include CCPI registration and assessment in membership accreditation requirements.

Let’s bust some myths!
